Open letters to Dan from his fans continued...
Hi Dan,
I was told you may be considering singing at the Sunfest, West Palm Beach, FL. I am hoping you do, it is a really nice artfest located along the Intracoastal Waterway, across from Palm Beach. Its in March, and the weather is usually very nice. There are many jazz artists that play at the smaller stages, many beautiful art pieces, and some great food from local restaurants.
Please consider it, the WPB area did not get to see you this
year. Thanks for your beautiful music!

Dear Dan,
A burning question that I have had ever since the No Resemblance album came out is: what was the inspiration for the song Windward? It remains one of my most favorite pieces of music. It takes my mind on a beautiful mini-vacation and always makes me smile, no matter how down I may be at the time. I can listen to that song and never tire of it. While I'm a great fan of yours, and have been since 1979, this piece stands out above the other wonderful pieces you have done over the years.
I look forward to seeing you in concert on 2/1 in Clearlake, Ca.
By the way, how are your cats doing with you being gone on the road so much lately? (I am also a cat lover.)
Dear Mr. Fogelberg,
I wasn't truly aware of your music until a few years
ago. My mother was listening to your Netherlands
album and the title track caught my attention. I have
loved your music ever since! I just wish your albums
were easier to find! My mother has enjoyed your music
since her college days, and I find it rewarding that she
could pass that on
to me. If you would like to get in touch with me, my
address is:
AshmanK@juno.com, or if you can't get through to that, please try:

Take care, and God Bless!
Sincerely,

Dan,
I do hope that you will consider this live acoustic tour worthy
of an album. I think it would be a wonderful concept to
pick and choose which song to have on it and then name the city
in which you were in. I'm sure that you have alot of great
live readings of "Auld Lang Syne" but all I can say is
that when you performed it in Cleveland, the night of the
terrible storm, the crowd that remained true had to have been
louder than the thunder itself when you came to the part in your
song....."the snow turned in to rain". You even
paused before you said the word rain, probably knowing that we
would go nuts!!
I hope this note finds you well and a bit rested before the
rest of your tour.
Lots of love,
Denise in Pittsburgh
